[SOC] MSI annonce sa carte mère X58 "ECLIPSE"
Juste après l'annonce de la Carte mère ASUS, et les photos dévoilée par Tweaktown sur la X58 gigabyte, MSI nous fait parvenir son communiqué de presse concernant leurs carte mère X58 !
La carte MSI répondra au nom de "ECLIPSE" elle sera équipée de 10 phase "DrMOS" dont MSI fait de plus en plus la promotion. Ces phases serons réparties entre le CPU (6 Phase) le Northbridge (2 Phases) et la Ram (2 Phase).
Cette carte socket LGA 1366 sera destinée aux processeurs NEHALEM qui sortirons fin octobre 2008. Elle supportera aussi le Crossfire-X sur 2 ports PCI6Express 2.0 en x16 et sera accompagné d'un carte Audio X-Fi.

Taipei, Taiwan – MSI, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, announced its latest high-end motherboard “Eclipse” which is based by Intel® X58 Express chipsets. MSI has developed the motherboard with”DrMOS” which delivers highest efficiency, zero noise, and best performance into the P45 series; now on new “Eclipse” X58 motherboard. MSI expanded the usage of DrMOS to bring much more power efficient platform.

The first visible change on Eclipse is about it equipped the Socket B (LGA1366) to support the next generation Intel Core i7 processor (codename: Nehalem), also it will replace the current FSB to step further on QPI (QuickPath interconnect) structure to enhance the bandwidth up to 25.6GB/s (twice than FSB1600 standard). Eclipse will be the first 3-channel memory structure ready motherboard to support 6 DIMM DDR3-1333 up to 24GB capacity, also provides enhanced bandwidth up to 32GB/s (higher than DDR3-1600 standard).
DrMOS– The Most Power-Efficient Parts for Power-Saving and Best Performance
MSI had developed the P45 motherboard with Gen.2 “DrMOS”, and now MSI expanded the DrMOS usage to cover the QPI and Northbridge power supply, to provide superior power-saving, ultimate low temperature operation, and extreme performance gain. The Eclipse will be equipped up to 10 DrMOS with APS (Active Phase Switching) technology to build up the most solid power design ever.
